100 Days of Design
SUMMER PROJECT
2024
Start Here
This project is my 100 days of design project. It was inspired by my former teacher Erica Pritchett and her 100 day project that she did. I decided that the summer of 2024 I would embark on a 100 days of design project as well, with the goal being to design almost every day of the summer. I started out making zines and slowly started to transition to something else, and with it I noticed something shifting in myself as well.

Something Started to Change
In the beginning I was creating zines like I had in my illustration class with sharpie and these cool illustrations. At some point I started to switch to these bigger more digital spreads to hone my illustrator and indesign skills. I wanted to also mix up the project a little bit and refreshen it for myself. This won’t be the last time that this project morphs, with this one I had to learn when I needed to make a change in what I was doing.
I needed to make a change in how I was creating these zines, something in me changed and it
reflected in the work that I was creating.

Longer Format Zines
I had originally set out to make 25 different zines, with 25 unique stories. But, with all of the other things that I was doing at the point in my life it wasn’t feasible. I started to create longer format zines that had more personal meeting to me choosing to develop the style across multiple different spreads.
Posters! Posters! Posters!
Like I had said before, this won’t be the last time this project changes. I had to shift and adapt again choosing to start making posters in this project. I was getting sick of doing the same thing over and over again, and trying to create stories for every one so I had shifted to these posters with shorter but just as meaningful messages.
