The Specs:
A 6x6 100 Page booklet featuring the "Graphic Design Process" with a booklet design inspired by the look and feel of an edgy spotify playlist.
A playlist theme for the inbetween pages inspired by my music listening at the time.
Takeaways
The final project of the graphic design process class was to create a 100 page 6X6 booklet of everything we had made in the class. Most of the work was already done for us, as its what the semester had been leading up too. I chose to include my 3 favorite of each section and the section pages in-between as thats mostly what this project was about. Coming up with a theme and keeping it consistent between the pages.
I chose to have a playlist theme, like your were clicking play on a favorite playlist and listening / watching it run through. I took screen grabs from Spotify and modified the songs on the playlist to be a table of contents about what you were about to see. As well as using the bitmap technique that I had learned in the class to create something a little bit more visually interesting. Layering them with text to create a dynamic look and feel.
The overall project was great to flip through once it was all put together. Different orientations of text invited you to flip the book around to get a better look, and layered bitmaps created an interesting level of depth that the casual viewer might take for granted. I learned a great deal in how to keep a consistent look an feel going as we went through critique of this project.
